Weight Loss Progress
Hey guys. I am 33 and decided it was about damn time to get my weight under control to enjoy the rest of what is left with my family which will hopefully be many more years to come. I started a shake plan called Body By Vi. So far so good.
Over 10 years ago I did not eat any solid food for 2 1/2 years and it almost did me in but I did lose over 450lbs. Sadly along with mal-nutrition and a developement of major anxiety I gained most of it back. After 10+ years I am ready to finally beat this weight that has kept me down for basically all my life. Let this be a lesson to all that crash diets and starving yourselves is in no way shape or form good for you as it lead to seizures and constant shaking until I had to finally begin to eat again.
I learned a valuable lesson that when following a doctors care you have to be ready to make the call because in the end you yourself really know your own body. I was supposed to hit 250lbs and I would receive my excess skin removal surgery. I was so happy when I stepped on the scale and it said 245lb only to have my bubble bursted by being told I would have to go through hell until I reached 210lbs. Sadly I only made it to 235lbs and by then I was nothing but lots of skin and bone and had lost all my muscle mass and you could count every rib I had.
Before you diet please see your physician but know in the end once again, you know your own body and you know your limits. It is good to lose weight but remember if you starve your body you are also starving your mind. I lived like a zombie basically the last 6 months of my diet and could have not been around today. Do your diet the right way and cut down your food intake and throw some exersize in. You could be surprised... I have been.
